Day1 : Arrival in Srinagar, city tour, houseboat stay : On your arrival at the Srinagar International Airport, you will be taken for a 35 minutes drive through the heart of New Srinagar city, passing the Abdullah bridge which connects the banks of the Jhelum river. Proceed for an hour of Shikara ride in the lake. After some rest, a day of local sightseeing that includes a visit to the famous Mughal gardens of Nishat and Shalimar. Dinner and overnight stay in houseboat.

 

Day2 : Yusmarg day trip (47 kms/ 2 hrs) : After breakfast, set out for an excursion to Yusmarg. Yusmarg, the meadow of Jesus is an apline valley located in Badgam district and covered by snow clad mountains and meadows of pine and fir. This valley mesmerizes tourists with its natural beauty. This is also popular for horse riding, fishing and for skiing during winter. After spending some quality time, return back to Srinagar for overnight stay.

 

Day3 : Dachigam National Park day trip (22 kms/ 1 hr) : After breakfast, set otu for an excursin to Dachigam National Park. Located 22 kms from Srinagar city, the park was once the private game preserve of Maharaja Gulab Singh. The park is situated at altitude ranging from 5500 ft to 14,000 ft. Due to the variation in altitude, the park is demarcated into upper and lower regions. The best time to visit the park is: upper Dachigam from months of May till August; lower Dachigam from months of September till December. Bird watching is best in the months of March till May. The park is popular as the home of the rare and critically endangered Hangul or Kashmir stag. The other famous attractions of the park are Himalayan Black Bear, Markhor, Ibex and exotic birds. Enjoy the safari at Dachigam National Park. Later drive back to Srinagar for overnight stay.

 

Day4 : Srinagar- Kokernag with Sinthan Top (Day 1 of 3) (80 kms/ 3 hrs) : After breakfast, check out from your hotel and take the road to one of most serene and beautiful city of Kokernag in Anantnag district. On arrival at Kokernag, after some rest, proceed for Papashudan Nad spring. The water of Spring is popular for its medicinal and digestive properties and draws thousands of tourists around the world. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.

 

Day5 : Srinagar- Kokernag with Sinthan Top (Day 2 of 3) : Proceed for a full day excursion to Daksum and Sinthan Top. 498 kms from Kokernag, Sinthan top is the highest pass connecting Kashmir with Jammu via Kishtwar. Daksum swathed in coniferous green forests is trekkers pardise. The curvy uphill drive from Daksum to Sinthan Top is pretty thrilling and adventurous. Sinthan top is popular for the  360 degrees view and year round snow. Adventure enthusiasts can plan for mountaineering and skiing here. Overnight stay at hotel in Kokernag.

 

Day6 : Srinagar- Kokernag with Sinthan Top (Day 3 of 3) (80 kms/ 3 hrs) : After breakfast, check out from hotel and proceed for Srinagar. Enroute visit Verinag- popular for water spring and Mughal gardens. Also visit garden of Achabel, ruins of Martand Sun temple and Mattan temple of Shiva. Later on arrival at Srinagar, check in to houseboat/ hotel for overnight stay.

 

Day7 : Sonmarg day trip (85 kms/ 2 hrs) : After breakfast, drive to Sonmarg (90 kms/3 hrs) enroute Kheer Bhawani Darshan. On arrival at Sonmarg, visit Thajjwas glacier (own cost) . Return back to Srinagar. Dinner and overnight stay in hotel.

 

Day8 : Srinagar city tour : After breakfast, we proceed for a half day city tour that includes visit to the famous Mughal gardens of Nishat and Shalimar, the Chasme Shahi Garden, Shalimar Bagh (Abode of love) and Shankaracharya Temple. We will explore the gardens and later drive back to the hotel for a dinner and Overnight stay at hotel.
