Itinerary
Day 01: Guwahati – Nameri :- Today Arrive At Guwahati Airport, Received And Transferred To Tezpur/Bhalukpong/ Nameri/Balipara (220kms /05hrs Drive). Reach Nameri And Check Into Hotel. Overnight Stay.
Day 02: Nameri – Dirang :- Today After Breakfast We Will Drive To Dirang(195kms/09 Hrs Drive), Enroute One Can Stop At Tippi Orchid Research Centre. Overnight In Dirang.
Dirang Dzong: Dirang Is A Popular Tourist Spot, Situated Between Bomdila And Tawang. It Is Home To The Monpa Tribes And Is Significant Because Of The Dirang Dzong Or Dirang Fort. It Was Built In The 17th Century To Ward Off Invasions Of The Neighboring States. During Vietnam War, It Used As A Jail. During World War, This Fort Was Used As A Shelter. Monpa Tribes Live In This Fort Now Days, Have A Unique Life Style, Said To Have Also Have Vietnam Descendants Among The Dzong Dwellers.
Day 03: Dirang – Tawang :- Today After Breakfast We Proceed For Tawang (160kms/09hrs Drive). On The Way Cross Sella Pass, Which At 13,700 Feet, Is One Of Ndia’s Highest Motorable Passes. Stop Here To Take In The Views Of Majestic Sella Lake. Visit Jaswant Garh, The Place Where The Indian Soldier Jaswant Singh Rawot Put Up A Last Stand Against The Marauding Chinese Army In 1962 War. Proceed To Nuranang And Get A Glimpse Of The Powerful Jung Water Fall. Reach Tawang And Check Into Accommodation And Overnight Stay.
Arriving Time In Tawang Approx Would Be 6:00 – 7:00 Pm.
Tawang: :- The Name Tawang Derives From Some Bearings On Surroundings. But People's Interpretation Is That The Name Tawang Was Given By Mera Lama In The 17th Century. One Can Reach Tawang From Other Parts Of The Country Via Guwahati And Tezpur In Assam. From Guwahati(Assam) Or Tezpur(Assam), One Has To Go To Bhalukpong In West Kameng District Of Arunachal Pradesh And From There Via Bomdila And Sela Pass One Can Go To Tawang By Road.
Day 04: Tawang :- Today After Breakfast We Will Go For A Full Day Excursion In Tawang And In And Around. We Will Visit Tawang Monastery, The World’s Second Largest Practising Buddhist Monastery, Tawang War Memorial, Urgelling Monastery (The Birth Place Of 6th Dalai Llama) Ani Gompa And If Time Permits We Will Visit Local Market. Evening Back To Tawang And Overnight Stay.
Day 05: Tawang :- Today After Breakfast We Will Visit Bumla Pass, Shangister Lake (Known As Madhuri Lake Also) And Pangateng Tso Lake. Evening Explore The Local Markets In Tawang. Overnight Stay.
(Please Do Note That For Bumla Pass The Clients Have To Go Personally To The Dc Office And Army General Office And Get The Permit, As Physical Verification Is Must To Get The Indo – China Border Permit).
Day 06: Tawang – Bomdila :- Today After An Early Breakfast We Drive To Bomdila (195kms/09hrs Drive). Reach Bomdila And Visit Bomdila Monastery. Later Check Into Hotel And Evening At Leisure. Overnight At Bomdila.
Day 07: Bomdila – Nameri :- Today We Drive To Nameri (160kms/5hrs). On Reaching We Check Into Eco Camp. If Time Permits At Evening We Can Visit Local Villages. Overnight At Nameri.
Day 08 Nameri – Manas :- Early Morning Before Breakfast Walk At Nameri National Park With Armed Guard From Forest Department.
Back To The Camp And After Breakfast Further Drive To Manas National Park (260kms/06 Hrs Drive), Reach Manas And Check Into Hotel, Evening At Leisure. Overnight Stay At Manas.
Note: Kindly Note That Officially All The National Parks Open From 01st Of November Every Year. Jungle Walk Is Depends On Forest Department, Govt. Of Assam.
Cost Of Forest Activity Is Not Included, Can Be Done On Direct Payment Basis
Day 09: Manas National Park :- Today You Will Go For Safaris And Elephant Ride Inside Manas National Park. Early Morning Go For An Elephant Ride (Timing 5:00 Am/ 06:00 Am/ 7:00 Am) Then Return Back To The Lodge And After Breakfast Go For A Jeep Safari (Timing 8:00 Am / 9:00 Am) For 03 Hrs, After The Safari Come Back To Lodge. After Lunch And Refreshment Go For Another Jeep Safari In Mathunguri Range Of The Park (Timing 2:00pm ) For 03 Hrs (Also Depending On The Sunset As In Winters The Sun Sets Early In Northeast India), Evening At Leisure. Overnight Stay At Manas.
