Itinerary
Day 01: Guwahati – Tezpur / Nameri :- Today Arrive At Guwahati Airport, Received And Transferred To Tezpur/Bhalukpong/ Nameri/Balipara (240kms /05hrs Drive). Check Into Hotel. Overnight Stay.
Day 02: Tezpur / Nameri – Dirang :- Today After Breakfast We Will Drive To Dirang(195kms/09 Hrs Drive), Enroute You Can Stop At Tippi Orchid Research Centre At Upper Bhalukpongon. Reach Dirang And If Time Permits We Will Visit Dirang Dzong And Monpa Village. Overnight In Dirang.
Dirang Dzong: Dirang Is A Popular Tourist Spot, Situated Between Bomdila And Tawang. It Is Home To The Monpa Tribes And Is Significant Because Of The Dirang Dzong Or Dirang Fort. It Was Built In The 17th Century To Ward Off Invasions Of The Neighboring States. During Vietnam War, It Used As A Jail. During World War, This Fort Was Used As A Shelter. Monpa Tribes Live In This Fort Now Days, Have A Unique Life Style, Said To Have Also Have Vietnam Descendants Among The Dzong Dwellers.
Day 03: Dirang – Tawang :- Today After Breakfast We Proceed For Tawang (160 Kms/09 Hrs Drive). On The Way Cross Sella Pass, Which At 13,700 Feet, Is One Of Ndia’s Highest Motorable Passes. Stop Here To Take In The Views Of Majestic Sella Lake. Visit Jaswant Garh, The Place Where The Indian Soldier Jaswant Singh Rawot Put Up A Last Stand Against The Marauding Chinese Army In 1962 War. Proceed To Nuranang And Get A Glimpse Of The Powerful Jung Water Fall. Reach Tawang And Check Into Accommodation And Overnight Stay.
Arriving Time In Tawang Approx Would Be 5:00 – 6:00 Pm.
Tawang: :- The Name Tawang Derives From Some Bearings On Surroundings. But People's Interpretation Is That The Name Tawang Was Given By Mera Lama In The 17th Century. One Can Reach Tawang From Other Parts Of The Country Via Guwahati And Tezpur In Assam. From Guwahati(Assam) Or Tezpur(Assam), One Has To Go To Bhalukpong In West Kameng District Of Arunachal Pradesh And From There Via Bomdila And Sela Pass One Can Go To Tawang By Road.
Day 04: Tawang :- Today After Breakfast We Will Go For A Full Day Excursion In Tawang And In And Around. We Will Visit Tawang Monastery, The World’s Second Largest Practising Buddhist Monastery, Tawang War Memorial, Urgelling Monastery (The Birth Place Of 6th Dalai Llama) Ani Gompa And If Time Permits We Will Visit Local Market. Evening Back To Tawang And Overnight Stay.
Day 05: Tawang – Bomdila :- Today After An Early Breakfast We Drive To Bomdila (195kms/09hrs Drive). Reach Bomdila And Visit Bomdila Monastery. Later Check Into Hotel And Evening At Leisure. Overnight At Bomdila.
Day 06: Bomdila – Guwahati :- Today We Drive To Guwahati (360kms/ 11hrs). On Reaching We Check Into Hotel. Overnight At Guwahati.
Day 07: Guwahati - Guwahati Airport/Railway Station ;- Today After Breakfast Drive To Guwahati Railway Station For Your Onward Destination, Enroute You Can Stop At Kamakhya Temple And Get Blessed By Maa Kamakhya.
